    10 August 2016:

… It’s always been a dream of mine to make an impact in the lives of gamers all over the world, and I’m extremely excited to announce that we’re taking another huge leap towards making that dream a reality… Beam has been acquired by Microsoft!

As part of Xbox, we’ll be able to scale faster than we’ve ever been able to before. …

    25 May 2017:

… Today marks a big evolution of our interactive live-streaming platform and a new name for the service: Mixer. …

    22 June 2020:

… Ultimately, the success of Partners and streamers on Mixer is dependent on our ability to scale the platform for them as quickly and broadly as possible. It became clear that the time needed to grow our own livestreaming community to scale was out of measure with the vision and experiences that Microsoft and Xbox want to deliver for gamers now, so we’ve decided to close the operations side of Mixer and help the community transition to a new platform. To better serve our community’s needs, we’re teaming up with Facebook to enable the Mixer community to transition to Facebook Gaming.

Thank you, Mixer community, for your engagement and passion on this journey. We have accomplished so much together, and we want to thank you all – Partners, streamers, moderators and viewers.

Today, I’m excited to announce that Wake is joining the InVision family.

By joining the InVision team, we’ll not only be able to bring Wake to a much larger audience, we’ll be able to accelerate Wake’s evolution as a product.

Thanks to all of you who have used Wake, given us feedback and been a part of this incredible journey. It’s been exciting and humbling to work with you and I hope you’ll continue to follow along for this next chapter.

    May 2020 (email):

We wanted to remind you that Wake access will end for all users in six months, just in case you missed our first note. It has been a great journey since joining InVision’s suite of products, but as our product and priorities have evolved, we have made the difficult decision to sunset Wake. Wake will continue to operate through October 15th, 2020, after which time the application will no longer be available.

    Chroma Labs is joining Twitter!

As part of this we’re shutting down our business, effective immediately. You’ll still be able to use the Chroma Stories app to craft amazing stories as long as the app remains installed on your phone, and until there is some breaking change in a future iOS update.

Thank you for the partnership and support.

    2 June 2015:

Today marks a momentous day for me and the entire Wunderlist family. I am incredibly excited to share with you that we are joining Microsoft.

So what will change for you? Nothing right now. Our team in Berlin will continue to build and deliver you Wunderlist, Wunderlist Pro and Wunderlist for Business across all platforms…

It’s been an incredible journey and has provided such a valuable learning experience for all of us. Thank you, team!

Also, I want to say a huge thanks to you–our users, supporters and investors. And thank you to Microsoft! We are beyond thrilled to be continuing our journey with you. To sign off this chapter in our history I’ve handpicked some photos that document our story from the very beginning to now, I hope you will enjoy. Here’s to the future of Wunderlist!

    15 February 2020:

When we first announced Microsoft To Do, we also announced that Wunderlist would eventually retire. We planned this so we could concentrate on building a more integrated and secure app that helps you get stuff done in a smarter way.

It’s time to let you know that on May 6th, 2020, we plan to shut down Wunderlist.

Some of you have been on this journey with us since the very beginning. You may even remember the “Wunderkit” days. Whether you joined in 2010 or just last year, we want to take a moment to say a big thank you. You, our users, mean everything to us, and we hope that you continue to share our vision and join us on this next step of our journey. You helped us make Wunderlist what it is, and we’d love for you to help us do the same with To Do.

Today is a big ‘Munk moment: Concur’s acquisition of Hipmunk is complete.

Any time a company gets acquired, there are always concerns about what it means for the company and product. Here are some things to know:

    1. Hipmunk isn’t going anywhere

    14 January 2020:

In 2016, Hipmunk was acquired by SAP Concur.  As its approach to providing business travel solutions has evolved, SAP Concur has made the decision to retire the Hipmunk product.

We are grateful to all the travelers and partners that have joined us on this journey.

We are excited to announce that the Pursuit team is joining Twitch!

So, what does this mean for Pursuit? While the team is moving to Twitch, the Pursuit analytics product will not. So, it’s with a heavy heart that we announce we’ll be shutting down all services effective December 17, 2018.

Turning off any service is difficult and we’re so grateful to all our users for their support. We could not have made it this far without the help of our investors, friends, partners and users. You’ve all helped to make this journey incredible and we are excited to keep building products and experiences that you’ll love as part of the Twitch family.
